location was great, value for money, staff were pleasant and hotel was grand.
the staff were very friendly and helpfull, rooms were good size and clean, the hotel was in the center of cliften.
no lift so not great for small children or eldery, needs more seclection on breakfast menu.
The friendliness of the owners and staff, the brightness and cleanliness of our room and the good food.
The location in the center of Clifden was perfect. Within walking distance on everything in town. Plenty of pubs nearby with live music in the evenings. They just opened a new restaurant at the hotel during my stay. I was one of the first patrons opening night, and the food and service was great. Mick, the manager, and the entire staff are the best. Very friendly and helpful.I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
There's no off street parking at the hotel, but I didn't have any problems finding a space on the streets within a short walk.
We recieved a warm welcome on arrival .Staff kind and friendly. Lovely food in bar, bedroom comfortable +lots of space.. Music in bar was good. Location excellent .
Courtesy of staff at all levels and their responsiveness to our needs
we were happy to stay at. this hotel because it accomodated our family of four in one room and we were only staying for one night.the room was basic but clean and good value.
there was a musty smell due to it being closed for some time.
amazing staff but rooms are a little dated...but really enjoyed stay and as i say the staff were very welcoming and curteous.
Price and location .
Noise level from outside as it is near to some very good pubs, Not exactly a negative unless your planning an early night.
People were really great, the location (in the middle of the town: market place) is just perfect, you have all what you need, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets around the hotel. The hotel is really clean and value-for-money. I really recommend it to everyone.
Staff were friendly and obliging.
The hotel needs a facelift. More control should be kept over noisy late night residents.
The location is good in the centre of Clifden and is handy for exploring the town or countryside around. The room was clean with en-suite and tea / coffee facilities. Breakfast was nicely cooked and plenty of it. Staff were friendly if a little bit "laissez-faire". The rate we payed was reasonable.
The hotel is a bit tired looking overall and a bit shabby in places. The double glazing in our room was so ill fitting was could see daylight along the join of the window frame. In poor weather you would get a fair old noisy draughts. No parking on site - on street only. These are only minor issues the hotel was generally ok for the price.
Location was great and staff extremely friendly and helpful..unfortunately we had to cut our stay short but would definately stay again.
Unfortunately we stayed on the first floor so view of the square was blocked by the roof of the retauraunt below.... Next time would request a 2nd floor room.
The view of the square from our room.
Would prefer the feel of hard wood under my feet on the floor instead of carpet. Lifts would make the hotel more accessible to people with mobility difficulties who would like to stay there (I didn't see any lifts to floors)
While we enjoyed our stay the hotel could do with being updated.. bedrooms were comfortable and clean but had problems with our tv also no batteries in remote control..
